Heading Qi Gang

Chinese Qi Gong (also referred to as Qigong, Chi Kung, or Ki Gong) is an ancient art of balancing and strengthening one’s life force practiced by millions in China for thousands of years. "Qi" means life force energy and "Gong" means work.

Qi Gong can be practiced by anyone who is willing to learn and practice. If you have an illness, Qi Gong can help you to fight your disease and get well. If you have no sickness, Qi Gong can enhance the overall well being of your body by strengthening your immune system.

In ancient time, the days of the Emperors, Qi Gong was used to serve the Royal Family. After 1949, Qi Gong was better mastered by the general public and has been used as a preventative and self-healing method.

In China, Qi Gong is being taught in medical colleges and research centers. Large hospitals have Qi Gong research departments conducting research clinically. The public can request Qi Gong healing treatments (external Qi transmission) in large hospitals across China. You can see thousands of people practicing Qi Gong and Tai Chi together. Practicing Qi Gong and Tai Chi are very common in the Chinese community.

Qi Gong helps...

  • people adapt to natural changes in the weather.
  • to speed up recovery to regain health from illnesses/surgeries.

For the last thirty years, the Government of the Peoples' Republic of China has been conducting intensive scientific studies and has founded the Chinese Qi Gong Talent Bank of the Science Research Academy of Chinese Qi Gong and the Exchange Service Centre of the Science Research Academy of Chinese Qi Gong in the Chinese capital, Beijing (Peking). The research findings have demonstrated and proven the benefits of Qi Gong and its healing power.

    Definition of Qi Gong
Through Qi Gong movements, visualization, breathing and mind control, the person practising performs an interchange of universal energy with his/her internal energy to make a new kind of energy or Qi.

    Specialty of Qi Gong
Qi Gong requires only a couple of square feet of space to practise and can be practised in sitting, standing, and reclining positions.

The amount of body energy used during practice of Qi Gong is even less than sleeping.

The time required to practice varies from 5 to 20 minutes at a time. It is best to practise 2 times a day.

Qi Gong can be practised by children, men/women, and elderly people with illnesses, physical weaknesses, disabilities as well as people without illness. However, it is not suitable for people with mental illness and epilepsy .
Qi Gong requires neither drugs or needles.

    Uses of Qi Gong
When we are weak, our body forms blockages. Practising Qi Gong helps the body to open up capillaries, the immune system, improve circulation and clear blockages.
